there&#039;s a difference between:
a) spreading false info about a product or a space to confuse consumers (something Steve Ballmer seems to be good at either via cluelessness or maliciousness). 
and
b) filing extraneous patent applications or domain registrations to create a smokescreen and cloak a strategic move from competitors. 

I have serious ethical qualms with the former and zero problems whatsoever with the latter.
