		<description>Great post! I  would leave in more arts electives, especially visual arts and music, with the visual demands of our web 2.0 society.  Very thoughtful. 
 
I totally agree about the students working in groups, teaching each other, and the PARENT INVOLVEMENT. I am so tired of teachers getting scorned and blamed for everything, when we get to deal with all the problems of society, let alone trying to teach a subject. 
 
Have you ever read John Dewey?
